Asbestos Surveys
As an established firm dealing with all aspects of asbestos management, AC Environmental Services are fully accredited to carry out a thorough asbestos building survey on our clients behalf and produce a comprehensive asbestos report containing precise information on the presence of any ACMs and their exact whereabouts.
We have been in the asbestos surveying business for almost two decades and as such are able to offer several types of asbestos surveying including everything from an initial type 1 asbestos survey right through to an asbestos type 3 survey, which is a legal requirement for all major types of construction work. Furthermore, each asbestos surveyor we employ to carry out asbestos surveys in the UK is fully trained and licensed to carry out his duty with complete regards to health and safety laws.
Once asbestos was considered to be the architects' dream material because of its fire resistant properties, withstanding temperatures up to 1200C, its acoustic properties reducing noise levels in buildings and because it could be shaped into a variety of cosmetic forms bonding onto different surfaces, including glass. Consequently, asbestos is commonly found in both commercial and domestic buildings.
The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations (CAWR), Regulation 4, came into force on the 21st of May 2004 and places an explicit duty on your organisation to manage the asbestos within the non-domestic premises for which you have maintenance and/or repair responsibilities.
Even if you believe your premises do not contain any asbestos, you are still required to take action in order to ensure compliance with these regulations.
